The project is located in a sleepy village named Bamnoli on the shores of the beautiful Koyna reservoiur backwaters. Towards its West, the site offers pristine views of the backwaters and climatically is prone to very heavy rainfall during monsoons. The design features a modern take on the traditional Konkani sloping roof and experiments with local Laterite stone and construction methodologies towards achieving a design that is robust against the harsh weather and yet presents a fusion of traditional and modern aesthetics.
